Once you have finished mapping your Property in RMS, you will need to finalise the setup for this Property in Homhero.
The below steps will need to be completed under Property Management and Booking Engine/Listings.
Property Management - Sync and Edit Area
- Select Property Management from the Homhero side menu
- Click the SYNC AREAS button in the top bar (this will sync the Area, Owner and Account ID from RMS)
- Wait for the Notification to appear as Successful in the top right hand corner
NOTE: This can take approximately 1 minute to sync depending on how many areas you have - Click the Refresh icon to push the Property through from RMS
- Complete the Property Management Setup for this Property. ( please note, you will not be able to select a listing until you have completed the sync in your Booking Engine/ Listings - instructions for this listed in the next steps )
- If your property is listed in NSW and the owner has registered their STRA property, you will need to add the 'STRA Permit Number' under the Regulatory Compliance tab. This will feed through to your website and OTA's. Please read our articles below for more information on how to set this up:

- Ensure your property has a valid address - Generate a new Portal Pin for your Owner. Go to Contacts > Owners > locate the Owner and click the Refresh Icon under the Portal Pin column to generate a Pin
Booking Engine/Listings - Sync and Edit Listing
- Once the above steps are done, select Booking Engine and then click Listings from the Homhero side menu
- Click the SYNC button and select Listing from the drop-down menu
- Wait for the Notification to appear as Successful in the top right hand corner
- Click the Show Hidden button as all new Properties will be Inactive
- Click the Refresh icon (if the Property has not pushed through from Property Management)
- Locate the Listing and click the Edit Pencil icon or double click it to open it
- Turn the Active toggle on
- Complete all below Listing requirements then click Save
- Details
- Settings
- Address Details
- Capacity (Bedrooms and Bathrooms must be configured from the Room Configurations tab)

- Images

NOTE: If you have not filled in all required fields, you will need to do this before saving your Listing
Booking Engine/Listings - Sync Rates/Allotment
Once you have saved your Listings details, you will then need to SYNC the Rates/Allotment from RMS. If this step is not done, you will receive the following Error:
NOTE: The Listing must be marked as Active before syncing the Rates/Allotment from RMS. If you attempt to do this while the Listing is inactive, you will keep receiving this error.
Please continue with the following steps on the Booking Engine/Listings page:
- Click the SYNC button and select Rates/Allotment from the drop-down menu
NOTE: This can take approximately 1 minute to sync depending on how many listings you have - Wait for the Notification to appear as Successful in the top right hand corner
- Click the Refresh icon. If all steps are done correctly, the globe world icon will change from red to green. This will allow you to start the process of setting up your Rates
Property Management - Resync Area
This is a new step that needs to be actioned to be able to map the listing to the area successfully. The Sync Listing task will pull the listing along with the RMS category ID and create the mapping. Running Sync Area again will create the missing Area.
Once the above steps are completed, you can proceed to Step 10. Setup your Rates in Homhero
If you manage your Rates in RMS, skip the next step and proceed to Step 11. Connect your Listing to your website
