Under the Australian Sharing Economy Reporting Regime (SERR), online platforms must provide transaction data to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) twice a year for certain transactions facilitated on their platforms.
The ''ATO Report'' is now available in RMS for property managers to generate this data and send if off to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) when required.
To make this available for your users, you will need to add this report to your Security Profiles first.
- Click Setup > Users > Security Profiles from the side menu
- Click the edit pencil or double click on the Security Profile to open it
- Type in ''ATO Export'' to highlight where the report can be found within the list
- Click Report Screens
- Click Owner Accounting Reports
- Next to ATO Export, update the Allow column to Yes
- Click Save/Exit
- You will need to Logout of RMS and log back in for the changes to come into effect
From here the ATO Export will now show within your RMS search menu. You can locate this as per the following steps:
- Click Reports > Owner Accounting > ATO Export from the side menu
- Quarter Ending - Select the quarter ending from March, June, September or December
- Year - Select the year you would like to report on
- Room Type - Keep selected if you would all Room Types to appear in this report, otherwise select individual Room Types you would like to view
- Area - Keep selected if you would all Areas to appear in this report, otherwise select individual Areas you would like to view
- Create CSV Export - Click here to create a CSV version of the ATO Export
- Create XML - Click here to create an XML version of the ATO Export. The XML file can be uploaded directly to the OTA
- Show Column Headers - Click here to show the column headers of the CSV version of this report (we recommend ticking this)
- Schedule - Click here to create a report schedule
- Export File - Click here to export the file into CSV or XML (based on the selection above)
