Multi-Allotment Changes

We’re excited to announce several updates in Homhero, designed to improve the management of multi-allotments, area allocation, area locking and searching for multi-allotment properties via the Booking Chart. 

New Features include:

Multi-Allotments
We now support multi-allotments for Listings with multiple Areas, compatible with Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo. This enhancement updates client calendars to display a quantity value in the top-right corner of each availability date.

• For single allotment Listings (e.g. holiday homes): The quantity value will typically be 0 or 1.
• For multi-allotment Listings (e.g. hotel or motel rooms): The value will show as 0 (unavailable) or greater than 0 (available units).

Guests cannot book multiple areas (allotments) within a single booking. Instead, the allotment quantity will automatically decrease in Homhero until no availability remains. From the guest's perspective, the booking process remains the same when booking through your website or OTAs.

Multi-Allotment Allocation
You can now configure the Area Allocation method for multi-allotment listings globally or on a per-listing basis.

• Global Settings: Go to Settings > Online Bookings/Quotes > Booking Options > Allotment Configuration
• Per Listing Settings: Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Listings > Allotment Method

Area Allocation methods available:

• Least Revenue for Departing Month
• Least Revenue for Calendar Year
• Least Revenue for Fiscal Year
• Least Booked Nights for Departing Month
• Least Booked Nights for Calendar Year
• Least Booked Nights for Fiscal Year
• First Available

Specific Area Allocation
When adding a booking manually in Homhero, you can now book a specific area that is part of a multi-allotment listing. Simply select the 'Listing' first, then select the area within this allotment from the 'Property' drop-down. If you would like to lock the area, this can also be done in the same process.




Area Locking
We’ve introduced the ability to lock reservations to specific areas.

• Locked reservations are marked with a red lock icon in both the Reservation List and the Booking Chart.
• Locked reservations cannot be reassigned to a different area, either through the Booking Chart or the Modify Reservation dialog.
• To lock or unlock a reservation, use the Reservation dialog. Alternatively this can be done at the time of adding a direct booking in Homhero.

Important Notes:

• If a booking is modified via Airbnb, we have to honour it.
• If a booking is modified via RMS, it will also be accepted as we lose control over the booking.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

Booking Chart Grouping
Enhancements to the Booking Chart now make it easier to manage multi-allotments:

• Search Functionality: You can search the chart by listing name(s).
• Grouping by Listing: For multi-allotment Listings, areas are automatically grouped under their respective Listings.
