What is iCal?
iCal (short for iCalendar) is a digital calendar format that helps in transferring basic reservation availability information, without the need for a full API integration. iCal links will create a one way block from Homhero to the channel or software of your choosing, but have to be manually managed.
Whilst iCal links are a great tool for managing availability across multiple platforms, and may come in handy during certain situations. It is recommended to use a full channel connections where possible.
How can I access iCal links in Homhero?
You can download a full report of your iCal links directly from Homhero. You can do this by following the below steps:
- Click Booking Engine and then click Listings from the left hand side menu.
- Click iCal Links.
- The iCal report will be generated, in which you can download from the right hand side menu in Homhero.
Once you have downloaded the iCal report, the report will be broken down into two columns:
You can then copy and paste the iCal links into any software you need to, and Homhero will push through any blocks so you can ensure that everything matches.
