The Staff/Handymen tab within Homhero's Unified Inbox allows you to manage and communicate with your internal team and maintenance staff quickly and efficiently. It brings all staff-related conversations into one organised space, enabling clear communication, streamlined workflows, and faster response times for property tasks and maintenance issues.
This section is designed for real-time message management, with tools to search, assign, reply, and track communication with specific staff or handymen. Whether it’s coordinating a repair, confirming availability, or sending job instructions, everything can be handled directly from one screen.
Below, you will find a step by step guide on the Staff/Handymen tab and how to use it:
- Click Unified Inbox from the Homhero side menu.
- Click Staff/Handymen.
- If your message is not showing in the list, click the Refresh Icon above the left panel.
- You can Search for a specific Staff/Handyman here to filter through your messages.
- You can select the Type of messaging to filter.
- Select the Message you wish to read from the left hand side.
- You can see an Overview of the Staff/Handyman name and Staff/Handyman ID.
- If the message was accidentally opened, you can mark the message as Unread.
- Click the Refresh Icon to refresh the message.
- Click the X Icon to close the message.
- Click the Arrow icon to expand the message dialog.
- The right panel will display any messaging Events, such as email tracking.
- You can Assign a Message to a specific staff member.
- Click the View More button to expand the message.
- Send Via - Click this to change between Email or SMS.
- Reply Box - You can type and send a quick reply from the same screen.
- The More Options button will provide more sending options, such as specific templates, schedules, including CC's, subjects and more text editing options.
