The VIC Short Stay Levy Export is designed to help you meet reporting requirements for the Victorian State Revenue Office (SRO). The export includes:
- Booking Sources: Direct Website, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, and StayMakers
- Date Coverage: Reservations created from 1st January 2025 onward
- Frequency: Automatically sent on the first day of each quarter
- Vrbo Inclusion: From 1st April 2025, Vrbo reservations will also be included
This export ensures you have all the necessary data to comply with the VIC Levy regulations.
What's Included in the export:
The export aligns directly with the Short Stay Levy Lodgement Template and includes:
- Property Address
- Booking Start Date
- Booking End Date
- Total Booking Fees (excluding credit card fees)
To make cross-checking easier, we’ve also included additional fields like the booking ID, creation date, booking source, packages, and credit card fee amount per booking. Clients can simply copy the main required fields directly into the Short Stay Levy Lodgement Template.
Important notes:
- This export includes reservations that departed within the reporting period and were created on or after 1st January 2025
- We have excluded Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo reservations for the first quarter (01/01/2025 to 01/04/2025)
- We have included Vrbo reservations created on or after 1st April 2025 for the second quarter and moving forward (01/04/2025 to 01/07/2025)
- The export excludes reservations of 28 days or more, as these are exempt from the levy under current legislation
- The export does not exclude properties that are levy-exempt — this will need to be manually cross-checked
- The booking totals are exclusive of credit card fees
- Please ensure you carefully review the data provided to ensure its accuracy before submitting
Where the export is sent to:
- By default, exports will be emailed to the address listed under:
Settings > Online Booking Options > Booking Options > Booking Email Recipients - You can add additional email addresses here if others should also receive the export
- If this field is left empty, the export will be sent to the address listed under: Settings > General Settings > Contact Info > Email
