If you are rebranding or updating your business name, it is important to ensure consistency across all platforms. This involves updating multiple areas including your Homhero account name, settings, property details, RMS configuration, and your website. This guide outlines the key steps to help you manage the transition smoothly and avoid any disruption to your operations.
Homhero Account Name
If you would like to update your Homhero account (database) name to reflect your new business name, please contact Homhero Support to request this change. Please note that account codes cannot be updated at this time. These codes are tightly integrated with OTAs (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo), and changing them requires significant development work to avoid disruptions to live reservations.
We do have a development task in place to support this functionality in the future, however we are currently unable to provide a timeline for when this will be available.
Items that cannot be changed
The following Homhero items will remain unchanged, and users will continue to use their existing login credentials and codes. This includes the Slug and Abbreviation:
- Vrbo Reservation Reference - e.g. DEMO000009, DEMO000010
- Owner Portal Account Code - e.g. demo
- Cleaning Portal Account Code - e.g. demo
- Staff/Maintenance Portal Account Code - e.g. demo
- Invoice Scanning Email - e.g. demo@scans.homhero.com.au
Manual updates required in Homhero
To fully reflect your new company branding, the following sections in Homhero will need to be updated manually:
Settings
- General Settings > Contact Info - Update old company details.
- General Settings > Daily Reports - Update report recipients if needed.
- General Settings > Email Footer - Update with new business info.
- General Settings > Logo Settings - Upload new logo.
- General Settings > Notification > Send Emails From - If your domain is changing, let us know so we can send through new DNS records. You may also want to update the email recipients for your notifications if their email addresses have changed.
- General Settings > Sundries - You may want to replace any sundry names that reference your old company name. You can rename sundries in RMS and sync the updated name to Homhero.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > Booking Options > Booking Email Recipients - Update recipient email addresses.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > Booking Receipt Footer Text - Replace any outdated references.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > Booking Receipt Top Text - Replace any outdated references.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > Booking Terms and Conditions - Replace any outdated references.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > EFT Payment Information - Update payment details.
- Online Bookings/Quotes > Payment Method > Surcharge Sundry Link - If your old company name is noted on your credit card surcharge sundry, you can rename this in RMS and sync the new name to Homhero.
Booking Engine / Listings
- Descriptions - Review and update any references to your old business name.
- Images - Update branded content if necessary.
- Website URLs - Update if your website is being rebranded.
Channel Management / Airbnb
- Default Airbnb Settings > Interaction - Replace any outdated business references.
- Default Airbnb Settings > House Rules - Replace any outdated business references.
Property Management
- Properties > Guest Agreement - Update old business details in your agreement content.
- Properties > Property Name - To update a property's name, make the change in RMS first. Then, click Sync Properties in Homhero to apply the updated name.
Correspondence
- Schedules - Review and update any references to your previous company name.
- Templates - Update email and SMS templates as needed.
- Email Themes - Replace any outdated references.
RMS

There are two sections in RMS that you can update your Company Name in RMS:
- Setup > Property Options > General information > Owner tab > Property Name
- Setup > Property Options > Property Information tab > Property Name
