New Feature - Linen Included/Not Included messaging prominent in theme

We've just introduced a new feature to a selection of our Homhero website themes to benefit clients who have some portion of their short term rental portfolio that DOES NOT include linen by default. If this is the case for you, this article will explain how to enable the new feature.

This new feature is available for websites using the Burleigh, Kirra, Tugun or Southport website themes. If your website uses a different Homhero theme, or is a custom theme integration, contact [e-mail] to discuss options for adding this feature to your website.

What is the feature and how does it work?

With this feature activated, listings that DO NOT include linen can display a custom message prominently above the Calendar widget on the listing page, and also on the booking/checkout page. If you work with a partner that can provide linen for an additional fee, you can include their contact details in the message.

How can I configure this feature?

The following assumes that you already have either a Category OR a Feature in Homhero that differentiates listings that DO provide linen from listings that DO NOT. If not, you will need to configure this first in Homhero and assign it to the relevant listings.

1. Log into your website (usually https://websitename.com.au/wp-admin).
2. In your website/wordpress dashboard, select Theme Settings from the left hand sidebar.
3. On the Theme Settings page, make sure you are on the Theme Setting Tab (tabs are displayed along the top of the page).
4. The toggle "Selected Linen Term" has two options - Provided or Not Provided. If you will be using a Homhero Feature called "Linen Included" then keep this setting on Provided. If the name of your feature means the opposite eg "Linen not included", then select Not Provided.
5. The "Linen Feature/Category" field is an autocomplete field and will let you select the Category OR Feature to use. Just start typing the name (probably starting with "Linen") then select the correct result.
6. In this field "Linen Provided Text" you can optionally add a message to assure guests that this property DOES include linen. If you do add a message here, it will display in a green box above the calendar widget. If you leave it blank, no message will display for these listings.
7. In this field "Linen Not Provided Text" add the message that you would like to appear in the instance that a listing DOES NOT include linen. You can include a link in this field by typing it as HTML. A simple link to an external website would be typed like this.

8. When you have made configured the above, click the "Update" button (top right).
