Your Default Daily Rates are base rates that apply to your forward availability as each day moves on.
If today is the 1st January 2026 and your forward availability is (52 weeks/12 months) then the Default Daily Rates will come into effect on the 2nd January 2027. This is because as each day progresses, there will be another day in advance that has not been setup yet.
For all new clients who are completing the onboarding process, the Default Daily Rates must be entered in addition to adding your Seasons and Base Rates. If your Default Daily Rates are not set, Homhero will block off the availability for all $0 rates showing in advance, which will have an effect on forward bookings.
Default Daily Rates can be added in bulk as per the following steps:
- Click Booking Engine and then click Listings from the Homhero sidebar
- Click Manage and select Default Daily Rates from the drop-down list
- On the Listing Default Daily Rates page, click the pencil Icon to edit each listing
Tip: You can also access each listings' Default Daily Rates from the Booking Engine/Listings page by clicking the Edit Rates (Calendar Icon) on any Listing, then selecting Manage Defaults.
Updating Default Base Rates
Please fill in your Default Base Rates as per the below fields:

Rate - We recommend adding your Default Daily Rates as per your High/Peak Season rate as a fail safe. This will ensure that if there are any issues with your Base Rate Multiplier (BRM) not calculating correctly, your future dates will advertise as the highest rate possible, rather than the cheapest

Modifying your Default Daily Rates
If you have increased/decreased your Default Daily Rates, Homhero will never apply the new Default Base Rates to any dates with the previous Default Base Rate already generated. In this case, you will need to manually update any previously set defaults for each listing where new Default Daily Rates have been updated.
Updating Default Daily Rates that have not been setup
If your Default Daily Rates were not setup for a particular listing when your listing was created, all future rates will automatically remain as $0 unless the rates have been updated manually. In this case, you will need to add the Default Daily Rates first, then complete a Manual OTA resync via RMS. This will apply the new Default Daily Rate to all future dates that were previously showing as $0 per night.
