Google Reservations Events Markup Registration

Google Mail features support for Events that place a reservation information banner at the top of the reservation email. This is a feature that Google adds on top of the original email.

If you are not registered and whitelisted for Google's Reservation Email system, google will attempt to guess the reservation content from the body of the email.

In some cases, this is not entirely accurate, and it can cause some confusion with guests using google email. HOMHero has seen cases where the property is not the same as the description in the body of the email and this has inadvertently caused checkins at incorrect property locations.

By default, HomHero adds the Gmail markup to all Booking Confirmations, and any schedules that have the "Enable GMail Support" toggle on.

Before Google is able to use this information, Google requires that you be registered and whitelisted for this service.

The guidelines state that emails you send through HOMHero must be authenticated via SPF or DKIM.

During the setup on HOMHero, you should have already been setup for SPF and DKIM. You can read our guide on SPF and DKIM for more information.

If you would like your companies emails whitelisted with Google Reservations, please contact our support by submitting a ticket or sending an email to support@homstar.com.au
