Booking.com Contracting API

The Contracting API allows you to efficiently manage and track the contracting process with your Booking.com account directly through Homhero. This article explains how the Contracting API integrates with Homhero and how the connection works.

As part of this integration, the process for setting the Booking.com Legal Entity ID has been updated. Instead of manually entering the ID in a text field, Homhero now uses a guided workflow that allows you to either register a new Legal Entity or look up an existing one in real time. This helps ensure the correct Legal Entity is linked within Homhero.

Here are the steps to follow when connecting new or existing Booking.com accounts to Homhero.

Adding your Booking.com Account

1. Click Channel Management > Connections from the Homhero side menu.
2. Click the Booking.com Spanner Icon. 
3. Click Add Account.
   
   
    
4. Name of Account - Add a name for this account e.g. Demo Company.
5. Legal ID - This has been updated so you cannot edit this field manually, click Register for Booking.com to proceed with the new 
6. Rate Lift % - This will be provided by Booking.com. It represents your commission amount including the uplift (for example, 12% commission + uplift = 13.64%). You may need to leave this field blank for now if you are setting up a new Booking.com account.
   
   

Booking.com Contract Setup
Choose how you want to connect this Booking.com account.

1. Connect New Booking.com Account - Click here to setup a new account.
2. Use Existing Booking.com Account - Click here to connect an existing account.
   
   

Existing Booking.com Account
If you click Use Existing Booking.com Account, you may connect via your Legal Entity ID (LEID) or Email address associated with the account.

1. Select whether you would like to connect using Legal Entity ID or Legal Contact Email.
2. Enter the Legal Entity ID or Legal Contact Email based on your selection.
3. Click Connect Existing Account to proceed.
   
   
    
4. You will be presented with a button to link your account after successfully logging into your Booking.com admin portal. Click Open Connection Link.
   
   

New Booking.com Account
If you click Connect New Booking.com Account, you must fill in all necessary details to create a new Legal Entity within Booking.com.

1. Company Name – Enter the company name.
2. Legal Name – Enter the legal name of the business.
3. Legal Contact Name – Enter the full name of the legal contact.
4. Legal Contact Email – Enter the email address of the legal contact.
5. Preferred Language – Select the preferred language for communication.
6. Legal Contact Phone – Enter the phone number of the legal contact.
7. Street – Enter the street address of the business.
8. City – Enter the city where the business is registered.
9. Postal Code – Enter the postal or ZIP code.
10. Country – Select the country where the business is registered.
11. Contract Countries – Select the countries where you intend to operate with Booking.com.
12. Total Number of Properties – Enter the total number of properties you manage.
13. Website – Enter your company website URL (if applicable).
14. Register Contract - Click to submit and register the contract.
    
    
    
     
15. Upon creation, you will be given a new Legal Entity ID which will automatically populate on your HomHero account in a Pending status.
    
    
     
16. You will receive an email shortly from Booking.com on the email address that you registered with, and this will be pre-filled with the data you just provided. There will be some additional information that needs completing on their end.
17. Your HomHero Booking.com connection will remain in a Pending state until this contract has been signed, and will be polled every day to determine the completeness of the connection.

Registration Status
You can click the Registration Status button to view the state of your connection.

1. Cllick Registration Status to check the current status of your connection.
   
   
    
2. The contract may still be in Waiting for contact to be signed status.
3. Click Resend Invite Link if you would like to resend the registration details to Booking.com.
   
   
    
4. Once the contract has been signed, the Registration Status will update to confirm that the connection has been completed. This status will updarte when viewed, or when the daily poll retrieves the latest information.
   
   
    
5. The Registration Status button will remove once the account is ready to use.
