This article will explain how to manage notification settings. 

General Notification Settings

  1. Click Settings from your HomHero side menu.
  2. Select General Settings > Notification tab.
  3. Bell Notification Sound - When this is turned on, every time you get a new booking or a cancellation, a bell notification sound will ring.
  4. Send Emails From - This is the email address your guests will receive emails from.
    NOTE: If this email address is changed, you must update your DNS records as well. If nothing is set here, this will default to the main email under Contact Info.
  5. Guest Registration - We will notify you when a guest completes the online Check In registration.
  6. Cleaner Notifications - We will notify you when a cleaner sends a message or completes a clean via the Cleaning Online Portal.
  7. Maintenance - We will notify you when a staff, cleaner, guest or owner reports maintenance via the Online Portals, when Maintenance Staff complete Maintenance Jobs via the Staff & Maintenance Online Portal and when Maintenance is reported from a departure clean.
  8. Guest Messages - We will notify you when a guest sends a message from the Guest Online Portal.
  9. Staff Messages - We will notify you when a staff member sends a message from the Staff & Maintenance Online Portal.
  10. Owner Messages - We will notify you when an owner modifies a booking or sends a message from the Owners Online Portal.
  11. Schedule Reports - This is a report containing information about the schedules that have gone out.
  12. Email SMS Reply - We will notify you when an SMS is responded to from a guest. You will get an email copy. 
  13. Account Messages - We will notify you when there is an issue with your account
    e.g. If a charge fails to submit to RMS.
  14. Channel Updates - We will notify you when there is a channel (OTA) related issue.
  15. Review Received - We will notify you when any review is received into the system.
  16. Click Save.


NOTE: You can add multiple email addresses to these Notifications by separating each email with a comma.

Fallback toggle

  • If any Email Notifications are empty and the Fallback toggle is ON, it will fall back to the email address listed in Contact Info.
  • If any Email Notifications are empty and the Fallback toggle is OFF, you will not be notified about the Notification.
