General Settings - Cleaning Settings

This article will explain the settings for the Cleaners Portal.

These settings are global and will apply to all cleaners setup in Homhero. The only mandatory field is Days in Advance/ Past Show Cleans. All other settings are optional to give cleaners access to certain information via the cleaners portal.

  1. Click Settings from your Homhero side menu.
  2. Select General Settings > Cleaning tab.
  3. Enter the number of Days in Advance/Past Show Cleans - this determines how far in advance upcoming cleans will appear in the cleaning app, and how far back past cleaning history will be displayed. Future cleans can be shown up to 60 days in advance, while past cleans will only display up to 30 days. This limitation exists because today’s date is not included in the function that retrieves past cleans.
    Note: The maximum number of days in advance that can be set is 60.
  4. Click the toggle to Show Cleans Not Required if you wish for a cleaner to see any cleans that are not required - e.g. Owner is cleaning after their stay, therefore a clean is not required by the cleaning team.
  5. Generate Cleaning Charge on Owner Account - this toggle is redundant - developers will be removing this toggle.
  6. Click the toggle to Show area notes in the cleaning app - area notes are found under Property Management > Notes > Area Notes.
  7. Click the toggle to Show guest name.
  8. Click the toggle to Show Booking Source.
  9. Click the toggle to Autocomplete Back to Back Inspections - if you have an arrival inspection the same day as a departure clean, once the departure clean is marked as completed, the arrival inspection for that same property will also be marked as completed.
  10. Click the toggle to Allow to Contact Guests - this will show a 'Contact Guest' button which will allow your cleaner to send an email to the guest.
  11. Click the toggle to Enforce Pincode Login - this will SMS the cleaner with a one-time password that they need to use to complete login.

    App Notifications
    The following options are for your App Notifications. If any of these settings are turned on, it will trigger an email & SMS to your cleaners.

     
  12. New Booking - Turn this toggle on to send 'New Booking' notifications to the cleaners.
  13. New Booking (Confirmed Only) - Turn this toggle on to send new booking notifications for confirmed bookings only. Note that this must be enabled if you wish to notify cleaners of Request To Book reservations. This will notify them once the booking is in confirmed status. 
  14. Cancelled Booking - Turn this toggle on to send 'Cancelled Booking' notifications to the cleaners.
  15. Cancelled Booking (Confirmed Only) - Turn this toggle on to send cancellation notifications for confirmed bookings only.
  16. Dates modified - Turn this toggle on to send 'Dates modified' notifications to cleaners.
  17. Dates modified (Confirmed Only) - Turn this toggle on to only send notifications for confirmed modified dates only.
  18. Property Changes - Turn this toggle on to send 'Property Changes' to the cleaners. When this toggle is on, if a booking has changed property to a different one, it will send the old cleaner a cancellation email and the new cleaner a new booking notification. Please note that the cancellation and new booking notifications will only send if their respective settings are enabled.
  19. Property Changes (Confirmed Only) - Turn this toggle on to only send property change notifications for confirmed bookings only.
  20. Click Save.
