Online Booking Settings - Payment Method

The Homhero Online Booking Settings will be where you set the types of payments that you currently accept through Homhero, including Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. This is also where you’ll configure your payment gateway and set up credit card surcharges to cover your merchant fees.

Additionally, you’ll find options to automate the billing of Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs) for Booking.com and set unlimited pre-authorization amounts in Homhero.

1. Click Settings from the Homhhero side menu.
2. Select Online Bookings/Quotes > Payment Method tab.
3. Click the toggle to enable Visa payments and enter the Visa Surcharge % - this will inflate the payment amount by this value.
4. Click the toggle to enable Mastercard payments and enter the Mastercard Surcharge % - this will inflate the payment amount by this value.
5. Click the toggle to enable AMEX payments and enter the AMEX Surcharge % - this will inflate the payment by this value.
6. Surcharge Sundry Link - Click the drop-down arrow to link a sundry item to the credit card surcharge, if you do not have a Credit Card Fee Sundry this will need to be created in RMS and synced to Homhero before completing this step - see our article How to create a Sundry for step by step instructions.
7. Click the toggle to enable Auto Bill VCC Cards when they become available from Booking.com.
8. Click the drop-down arrow to select your Payment Gateway Provider - Each gateway provider will have a different set of instructions that need to be entered here, including an ID and a Password.

   6. Stripe - View website here
      Unfortunately, Stripe only offers Net Settling Accounts. Because of this, Stripe is not compatible with trust accounting requirements in Homhero/RMS environments. If you are currently using Stripe, we recommend transitioning to a supported provider that offers Gross Settling capabilities.

   10. Click the toggle to Activate PayPal and fill out the below settings.
       - Mode: Sandbox is a testing environment and Production means the connection will be live
       - Access Token: This will be provided by PayPal
       - Surcharge %: This will inflate the payment amount by this value
   11. Click the toggle to enable Unlimit Pre-Auth Amounts. This allows you to take unlimited pre-authorisations on a booking.
   12. Click Save.
