Adding a New Rate Scale

This article will explain how to add a new Rate Scale. 

  1. Click Booking Engine > Special Rates from the Homhero side menu
  2. Click the Rate Scaling tab
  3. Click Add



  4. Active - Ensure the active toggle is on
  5. Scale Name - Enter a scale name to describe the type of rate scale
  6. Nights in Calculation - Enter the number of nights in calculation
  7. Min Nights - Enter the min nights of a reservation until the rate scale will begin
  8. Max Nights - Enter the max nights of a reservation that the rate scale will apply to
  9. Min Night Override - Turn this toggle on to apply a min night override to the rate scale
  10. Validate on: Which dates to validate whether to apply the scale or not to the stay.
    Check In - This means that only the checkin date will be used to determine validity
    Entire Stay - This means that all stay dates are used to determine validity
    Strict - This means that all dates in the stay must reside in any date restrictions
  11. Apply Scale to: Which dates to validate whether to apply the scale prices to individual days.
    All Dates in Stay - This means that all of the dates in the stay, irrespective of seasons will be applied to the scale pricing
    Only Valid Dates in Season - This means only the dates in the season restriction will be applied to the scale pricing
  12. Days of the week - Click the days of the week that the scale is applicable for
  13. Mode: After you have selected the number of nights, use the grid below to set the per night percentages or fixed LOS that each night should be calculated on.
    Sum - Night percentages are added together
    Fixed - Each night uses a fixed percentage
    Base Rate - Fixed total for the LOS

  14. Last Day Fill - Turn this toggle on if you would like to activate all nightly rates following on from the last scaled night as the price of the last night in the scale
  15. Night Calculations - Enter the percentage/fixed amount for what each night should be calculated on, in the example below both nights will be increased by 60%
  16. Only Booking Staying From - Use the calendar icon to select a date of when the reservation can arrive from. If the guest can stay for any date period, leave this blank
  17. Only Booking Staying Before - Use the calendar icon to select a date of when the reservation can arrive before. If the guest can stay up until any date period, leave this blank

    TIP: If the scale begins on the 01/06/23 and the scale ends on 30/06/23, this means the scale only applies for reservations which are staying during this period.

  18. Valid to use from (date) - Use the calendar icon to select a date of when the scale is valid to use from. If the scale starts straight away, leave this blank
  19. Valid to use until (time) - Use the clock icon to select a start time for when the scale applies
  20. Valid to use until (date) - Use the calendar icon to select a date of when the scale is valid to use until. If the scale doesn't expire, leave this blank
  21. Valid to use until (time) - Use the clock icon to select an end time of when the scale expires

    TIP: If the date of the scale is valid to use from 01/06/23 and the scale is valid to use until 30/06/23, this means the scale can only be used for reservations made during this period.

  22. Limit to Categories - Click the drop-down arrow to select which categories apply for this scale. If the scale applies to all categories, leave this blank
  23. Limit to Seasons - Click the drop-down arrow to select which seasons apply for this scale. If the scale applies to all seasons, leave this blank
  24. Exclusive for Listings - Click Set to select which listings can be used for this scale. If the scale applies to all listings, leave this blank
  25. Click the OTA Options tab



  26. Website - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on your Website
  27. Direct - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active for your Direct reservations
  28. Airbnb - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on Airbnb
  29. Vrbo - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on Vrbo
  30. Booking.com - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on Booking.com
  31. Staymakers - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on Staymakers
  32. Marriott - Turn this toggle on to make the scale active on Marriott
  33. Click Save
