When setting up a Seasonal LOS Rate, there are two 'Night Offset' options to choose from - Season or Stay.
The Night Offset comes into play when a reservation overlaps different seasons. It is recommended for your high seasons to set as a Season. This will ensure your owner will be receiving their high rate for the days that fall in that high season.
Seasonal LOS Rate - Fixed
We have provided some examples below of different ways your Seasonal LOS Rates will calculate when a reservation overlaps different seasons.
Example 1: Easter Holidays Night Offset is set to Stay, Easter Long Weekend is set to Season.
When a reservation is placed and overlaps both these seasons it will calculate as follows:
Two nights fall within the Easter Long Weekend rate which is set to Season. It will use the 2 night rate for this season. In the below case the rate for two nights = $1300. $1300 divide by 2 = $650. $650 per night for two nights.
Three nights fall within the Easter Holidays season which is set to Stay. It will calculate the rate based on how many nights in this entire stay. In the below example this stay is for 5 nights. The rate for 5 nights in this season = $1150. $1150 divided by 5 = $230. $230 per night for three nights.
This would make the total Base Tariff for the reservation = $ 1990
Example 2: Both Seasons Spring & Summer Night Offset is set to Stay
When a reservation is placed and overlaps both these seasons it will calculate as follows:
Two nights fall within the Spring season which is set to Stay. It will calculate the rate based on how many nights in this entire stay. In the below example this stay is for 5 nights. The rate for 5 nights in this season = $975. $975 divided by 5 = $195. Therefore the rate per night is $195 for those two nights.
Three nights fall within the Summer season which is also set to Stay. It will again calculate the rate based on how many nights in this entire stay, which is the 5 nights. The rate for 5 nights in this season = $825. $825 divided by 5 = $165. Therefore the rate per night is $165 for those three nights.
This would make the total Base Tariff for the reservation = $885
