Before you start connecting your individual Booking.com listings, you will need to ensure your global Booking.com settings are setup. These settings will feed through to each Booking.com listing where required, however if you change any of this information (excluding Services and Room Amenities) on the individual Booking.com listing level, that change will override these global settings.
These settings can be accessed as per the following steps:
- Click Channel Management > Connections from the Homhero side menu
- Click the Booking.com Spanner Icon
- Click the Green Pencil Icon (Edit Options)

Update Type - Whether the update process changes the room of the listing. If empty, it defaults to listing

Hide Full Address - Control whether the property's address can be shown to the guests before they book a stay on a property. Yes or No
- Guest Address Required - Does a booking require the guest's address. Yes or No (Default: Yes)
- Guest Contact Number Required - Is the guest contact number required. Yes or No (Default: Yes)
- Age Restriction - Are there any age restrictions. Yes or No (Default: No).
- Age Restriction - Minimum - Age restriction minimum age (18-99). Only fill in if 'Age Restriction' =
- Age Restriction - Maximum - Age restriction maximum age (18-99). Only fill in if 'Age Restriction' = Yes.
- Curfew - Are there curfew restrictions - Yes or No (Default: No).
- Curfew Start Time - What hour of the day does the curfew start. Only fill in if 'Curfew' = Yes.

Cancellation Policy - Select a default Cancellation Policy to apply to all Booking.com listings

Prepayment Fee Policy - You can specify whether a reservation needs prepayment and if it does, specify the deadline when guests need to prepay. The prepayment amount is the same as the cancellation penalty.
- After Cancellation Fee Begins: Guests need to make a payment only when the free cancellation window has closed
- After Reservation Is Made: Guests need to make a payment immediately after the reservation
Note: After Reservation Is Made is the default prepayment policy if this setting is blank

GST on Commission - Do you need to add GST to the commission collected for Booking.com?
Yes or No. You would only set this to Yes if you are not registered for GST inside of Booking.com.
GST Registered = No
If you are GST registered and you have provided your ABN number, Booking.com will not apply the 10% GST on top of the commission.
For new Booking.com partners, it is crucial to manually set up at least one listing initially as GST registered. This allows Booking.com to mirror and apply the same GST settings to all other listings.
Non-GST Registered = Yes
If you are not registered for GST, Booking.com will charge an additional 10% GST on top of your commission.
For non-GST registered partners, where a 10% GST is added, you simply need to add the 10% to your Rate Lifted amount in Homhero. For example, if your commission is 15%, the total uplifted amount would be 17.65%. Then, apply the 10% GST, bringing the total to 19.4%.
This step is necessary because the uplifted amount, including GST, is not sent directly to Booking.com. It is only set on the Homhero side. When a booking is made, we increase the commission by 10% to cover the GST component. This process eliminates the need for reverse calculations, which would otherwise be required to accommodate the uplift on the commission amount.

Charge Security Deposit - If damage deposits are taken for the property being booked, Booking.com will display by default 'How will this be collected' based on the number of days before the final balance is due e.g. 14 days before arrival
You do have the ability to override the text that displays when hovering over the Damage Deposit terms on Booking.com. You can choose from the following options:

- Upon Arrival

Minimum Advanced Booking Offset - The minimum amount of time in advance that the room can be booked, also known as your Booking Lead Time. This is a mandatory field.
