Websites that use the Homhero plugin are capable of displaying pricing in different ways.
When a website user enters a check-in and check-out date while performing a search, the pricing result that they get will always be an up-to-date total price for the stay, provided by our API.
If no travel dates are entered, the plugin/theme will instead fall back to a pre-generated "From Price", which is usually a nightly rate.
The way that we calculate this nightly rate is by using the same method as a guest would use - we enter a date range and get a price result. We then divide this result by the number of nights in the date range. This gives us an accurate per-night price for the period selected. Please note that the price returned includes all fees and compulsory packages associated with the listing - it is not the "base rate" alone.
How to change the date range being used.
If you want to change the date range that the plugin is using to generate from pricing, follow these steps:
Please note the plugin layout has recently changed slightly compared to previous versions.
- Hover the mouse over "Homhero" on the dashboard sidebar, select "Import Data" from beneath the Homhero option.
- This will open the "Import Data" tab which has some buttons that allow you to re-sync info with Homhero. To change the date range used for the "From Price", click the "Import Settings" Tab
- Update fields as necessary. There are no "year" settings, the plugin will query the next occurrance of the selected date range, whether its this year or the following year. The below settings translate to a search of 01/08/2022 - 08/08/2022 until the current date reaches 01/08/2022 - then it would instead search the same date range in 2023. and so on. Once you have updated the date range, click "Save Changes".
- Once the settings have been save and the page has reloaded, click the "Import Data" tab to return to the below screen. Click the "Sync All Pricing" button - this will run a pricing sync, and you will be able to see the results of this directly below after a few seconds.
If a listing does not have a price after syncing with Homhero, or the price seems incorrect, please do a Rate Query for the same date range in Homhero to see a breakdown of pricing for the listing.
How to change the "From Price" for a single listing
You can view and update "From Price" values per listing by click on "Listings" in the dashboard.
This screen will show the prices for each listing in the PPN column. To manually update the value for a listing, hover over the title and click "Edit"
On the Edit screen you will see the original price (generated by the plugin) in the "From Price - Homhero" field. You can set a new price using the "From Price Override" field.
Then click the blue UPDATE button (once the right side of screen)
Please note: Once the override value has been modified, it will remain the same and no longer sync with Homhero. To revert back to syncing with Homhero, change the value back so that it matches the "From Price - Homhero" field.
