The Occupancy Chart will display your daily occupancy for the next 7 day period. This chart is beneficial when you are wanting to see a forecast of how busy your week is going to be in terms of occupancy %. This report shows how many properties were occupied versus how many were available.
How the percentage is worked out
Occupancy % = (Number of properties with a booking that day ÷ Active properties) × 100.
What counts as “available”
Only properties that are active (not marked as inactive) are counted.
What is checked each day
For every single day, the system looks at each property and decides whether it is:
Arriving – a guest checks in that day (excluding B2B bookings)
Back-to-back – one guest checks out and another checks in the next day (depart = next arrival)
In-house – the guest is staying overnight (arrival < day < departure)
Maintenance – blocked for internal use
Vacant – available but not booked
Which bookings are included
- Arrived
- Confirmed
- Unconfirmed
- Departed
- Owner Occupied
