How to Modify a Reservation

This article explains step by step how to modify a reservation in Homhero. Please find some examples below of the reservation details that can be modified:

• Changing dates of stay
• Changing the property
• Changing the number of adults, children or infants
• Adding, modifying or removing Charges and Packages
• Modifying the base rate

You can modify a reservation in Homhero as per the following steps:

1. Click Reservations > List from the Homhero side menu
2. Double click on the Reservation to open the reservations screen
   
   
    
3. Click Modify Reservation button
   
   

There are five types of Modify Modes available in Homhero. This article will explain more about the Keep Existing Rate and Adjust with New Rate modes. Please see more information below:. 

Keep Existing Rate
Select this option if you would like to change the property or update the dates of the stay and keep the same pricing for the reservation.

1. View the original reservation details on this top line
2. Arriving - Click the calendar icon to update the Arrival Date
3. Departing - Click the calendar icon to update the Departure Date
4. Nights - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Nights
5. Adults - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Adults
6. Children - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Children
7. Infants - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Infants
8. Property - Click the drop-down to change the Property
9. Modify Mode - Click the drop-down to select Keep Existing Rate
10. Internal Notes - Type here if you would like to add Internal Notes to the reservation regarding this modification
11. Email Guest - Turn this toggle on if you would like a copy of this modification to go directly to the guest on this reservation
12. Reset - Click Reset anytime if you would like to revert the changes back to the original reservation details
13. Submit Modification - Click here once you are ready to submit the modification
    
    

Adjust with New Rate
Select this option if you need to modify the pricing for a reservation, whether this be increasing the Base Rate or adding an additional charge.

1. View the original reservation details on this top line
2. Arriving - Click the calendar icon to update the Arrival Date
3. Departing - Click the calendar icon to update the Departure Date
4. Nights - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Nights
5. Adults - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Adults
6. Children - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Children
7. Infants - Click the drop-down to increase or decrease the number of Infants
8. Property - Click the drop-down to change the Property
9. Modify Mode - Click the drop-down to select Adjust with New Rate
10. Add Package - Click here to add additional Packages to this reservation 
11. New Column - This column will display any changes you make to the Charges on this reservation. For example if you would like modify the Base Rate, click in the space provided under the New column and adjust as required
12. New Accomm - This row will show the New Accommodation total after the changes
13. Modification - This row will show the Modification amount
14. New Balance - This row will show the new Balance Amount owing on booking
15. Internal Notes - Type in the box here if you would like to add Internal Notes to the reservation regarding this modification
16. Email Guest - Turn this toggle on if you would like a copy of this modification to go directly to the contact of this reservation
17. Reset - Click Reset anytime if you would to revert the changes back to the original reservation details
18. Submit Modification - Click here once you are ready to submit the modification
    
    
    
    
19. Confirm Modification - You will receive a pop-up box to confirm if you want to modify the reservation and update the transactions. Click Yes to Proceed
    
    
    
    
20. Modification Submitted - You will receive a pop-up box showing that the Modification has been sent for processing. Click OK
    
21. Notification Panel - Check the notification panel to confirm if the Modification is successful
    
    
    
    
22. Refresh - You may need to click the Refresh Icon to see the changes if they have not updated on the reservations list
