How to create a Maintenance Block

This article will explain how to add a Maintenance Block via Homhero. Maintenance blocks are used to block off a specific amount of time to allow owners/administrators to schedule maintenance and repairs for a property whilst removing the availability to online channels.

1. Click (+) Create > Maintenance Block at the top of your Homhero screen
   
   
   
   
2. Select Property - Select the Property from the Area drop-down
   
   
   
   Note: You can also create Maintenance Blocks directly from the Reservations Chart. Simply drag the selected to and from dates on the Area and click the Maintenance Block booking type to proceed. This will automatically pre-fill the Property and Maintenance Block Dates for you.

3. If you have selected the wrong Property, click the X button to start again
4. From Date - Select the start date of the Maintenance Block
5. To Date - Select the end date of the Maintenance Block
6. Nights - The Nights will pre-fill based on the From and To Date or you can select the Nights here instead
7. Requires Clean - Turn this toggle on if you would like to schedule a departure clean for this Property on the end date of the maintenance block
8. Notes (Internal Notes) - Add internal notes to explain why you are placing this Maintenance Block 
9. Click Add Maintenance Block to finish this step
   
   
   
   
10. You should receive a Success pop-up box to confirm if the Maintenance Block has been created successfully, click OK
    
    
    
    The Maintenance Block should now be visible from the Reservations List and Reservations Chart.
