How to update a past booking status when future reservations have arrived

This article will explain how to update the booking status for a reservation in the past, when the current reservation is marked as arrived. This generally happens if there has been an RMS outage or issues with the Auto Arrival / Auto Departure functionality in Homhero, which has resulted in the booking status not updating automatically. This could also happen if you manually arrive and depart your bookings, but you have missed this process for a reservation that is now in the past.

Once a booking status has been changed to arrived in Homhero, it cannot be changed back to Unconfirmed or Confirmed. You will receive the below error:



In this case, you will need to complete the following steps in RMS first:

  1. Search and Open the forward reservation in RMS
  2. Click the Check Out Icon 



  3. You will receive a pop-up message to confirm 'Are you sure you wish to change the Departure date?' Leave this as 'No'
  4. The second question will ask 'Are you sure you want to Check Out?' Click 'Yes'





  5. Once the reservation has updated to Departed, click the Change Status icon to update the booking to Unconfirmed
  6. You will receive another pop-up message to ask 'Are you sure you want to change to Unconfirmed?' Click 'Yes'




  7. Head back to Homhero, open the reservation and click Resync RMS. This will sync the changes through from RMS and update the reservation to Unconfirmed



  8. Search and open the past reservation in Homhero



  9. Update the booking status to Arrived 
  10. Once successful, update the booking status to Departed



  11. Locate the current reservation and update the booking status to Confirmed
  12. Once successful, update the booking status to Arrived





*Repeat this process for any additional past reservations that do not have the correct booking status
