Airbnb Offline Fees - Security Deposits

Homhero supports Airbnb Offline Fees for security deposits. This means you can manage security deposits for Airbnb reservations directly via Homhero.

Security deposits will not feed directly to Airbnb from the Area setup in Homhero as some of our clients prefer for bonds to be managed via AirCover. We have added the security deposit field back into your Default Airbnb Settings and Listing Airbnb Settings to support offline security deposits. You must add the Security deposit here so Airbnb will display the correct message to advise guests that the security deposit will be managed by the property manager. 

Please follow the below steps to set this up:

1. Click Channel Management > Connections from the Homhero side menu
2. Click the Airbnb Spanner Icon 
3. Click the Green Pencil Icon (Edit Options)
4. Click the Pricing tab
5. Security Deposit - Add a security deposit between $100 to $5000. This will apply to all listings by default
6. Click Save
   
   

If the security deposit for Airbnb differs on a listing level, you can override the global settings as per the following steps:

1. Click Booking Engine > Listings from the Homhero side menu
2. Click the Airbnb Icon for the selected listing
3. Click the Pricing tab
4. Security Deposit - Add a security deposit between $100 to $5000. This will apply to the selected listing and will override the global security deposit if it differs
5. Click Save
   
   
   

Once the security deposit is applied correctly in Homhero as per the above settings, the following message will display to your guests during the booking process on Airbnb.

e.g. This property requires a $500.00 AUD security deposit. It will be collected separately by the property prior to your arrival or at check in.
