How to apply a Security Deposit to your properties

Once you have setup your Security Deposits, the next step is to apply this to your properties. If the same Security Deposit applies to all of your properties, this can be controlled in your Property Management global settings. If the Security Deposit is unique for each property, this can be applied in your Property Management area settings. 

Security Deposits that are set here will also feed directly to your OTA's. If you make a change to the Security Deposit, whether that be the Type or Amount of the Security Deposit, this will automatically trigger an update to the OTA's.

Properties tab - Global Security Deposit

1. Click Property Management from the Homhero side menu
   
2. Click the Properties tab
   
3. Click the Edit pencil or double click to open your property
4. On the Details tab, click the correct Security Deposit drop-down, then select the Bond that applies to all properties
5. Click Save
   
   
   

Areas tab - Area Security Deposit

1. Click Property Management from the Homhero side menu
   
2. Click the Areas (Rooms/Houses) tab
   
3. Click the Edit pencil or double click to open your property
4. On the Area Details tab, click the correct Security Deposit drop-down, then select the Bond that applies to the selected area
5. Click Save
   
   
   
   Repeat the same steps for all properties that require a Security Deposit.
