Quotes can be sent to guests via the Quote button located at the top of your Homhero screen. This button can be selected from any page in Homhero.
The Quote feature has multiple filters available to assist you in finding a suitable listing for your guests to choose from. You can complete either a ''Basic Search'' using dates and guest numbers or using a ''Filtered Search'' for specific requirements.
To add a Quote, click the +Quote button
Basic Search
- Check In date - Click the 'Check In' calendar icon to select the arrival date
- Check Out date - Click the 'Check Out' calendar icon to select the departure date
- Nights - You can enter the number of nights manually if required, which will update the Check Out Date accordingly
- Only Show Available - Turn this toggle on if you only want available listings to show in this search
- Adults - Enter the number of adults
- Children - Enter the number of children
- Allow Infants - Turn this toggle on and enter the number of infants if required
- Update Prices - Click here once you are ready to generate the pricing for the dates and filters selected
Note: You must click Update Prices each time any of the filters are changed, to ensure the correct information will generate in the quote.
Filtered Search
Complete the 'Basic Search' options as noted above and add any additional filters as required:
- Listing Search - If you're providing a quote for a specific property, use the 'Listing Search' field
- Pet Friendly - Turn this toggle on and enter the number of infants if required
- Bedrooms - Click the drop-down arrow to select the number of Bedrooms
- Bathrooms - Enter the number of Bathrooms
- Carparks - Enter the number of Carparks
- Promo Code - Click the drop-down arrow to select a Promo Code if required
- Listings - Click the drop-down arrow to select multiple Listings if you already know which listings the guest would like to be quoted for
- Categories - Click the drop-down arrow to select one or multiple Categories
- Categories (Match All) - Toggle on 'Match All' next to Categories to display listings that only match all of the categories selected
- Features - Click the drop-down arrow to select one or multiple Features
- Features (Match All) - Toggle on 'Match All' next to Features to display listings that only match all of the features selected
- Booking Source - Select whether you would like to generate pricing based on Booking Source. You can select Website or Direct booking
- Keep Open - Tick the 'Keep Open' checkbox to always show the filters section on the Quote page, otherwise it will automatically minimise when the 'Update Prices' button is selected
- Update Prices - Click here once you are ready to generate the pricing for the dates and filters selected
Note: You must click Update Prices each time any of the filters are changed, to ensure the correct information will generate in the quote.
Understanding the Quote
Once you click 'Update Prices', you will see all listings that fit within your search parameters to select from and send to the guest. We have highlighted all features within the quote grid to help you understand the quote before you proceed:
- Property - This column will show the name of the property, the rate type and the listing address
- Area Name - This column will show the Area Name
- Price - This column will show the 'Book Now' price
- Savings - This column will show any savings that apply if any Promo Codes have been added to your quote
- Nightly Rate - This column will show the price per night, which is an average amount per night based on the total amount and the number of nights.
- Web Icon - If you have filled in the External URL on the listing under "Booking Engine/Listings'', clicking this icon will re-direct you to the listing page on your website
- Book - Click this button if you would like to add a Booking directly in Homhero
- Dates before Quoted Dates - Homhero will always display 3 days prior to the quoted dates if the current date is at least three days in the past. This will allow users to view the dates either side of a quote which can be helpful to know during the quote process
- Quoted Dates - The quoted dates will be highlighted in a lighter shade of green or red based on the 'Only Show Available' toggle
- Available Dates - Dates that are available will be highlighted in green
- Unavailable Dates - Dates that are unavailable will be highlighted in red
How to send the Quote
Once you have clicked 'Update Prices' and you are ready to send the quote, please follow the below steps:
- Bulk select all listings or tick the checkboxes on the left-hand side of each listing to add them to the quote
- Click Contact Details / Send Quote
- Search Contacts - Search Field (Existing Guest) - Start typing in the 'Search Contacts' field to find a guest profile if they are returning or they have received a quote previously
- Search Contacts - Drop-down (Existing Guest) - Click the drop-down arrow to select an existing guest
Alternatively, please follow the below steps if you are adding a new guest - First Name (New Guest) - Enter the guest First Name
- Last Name (New Guest) - Enter the guests Last Name
- Email (New Guest) - Enter the guests Email
- Mobile (New Guest) - Enter the guests Mobile
- Address (New Guest) - Enter the guests Address
- Suburb (New Guest) - Enter the guests Suburb
- State (New Guest) - Enter the guests State
- Postcode (New Guest) - Enter the guests Postcode
- Country (New Guest) - Click the drop-down arrow to select the guests Country
- Email Message - Add a personalised 'Email Message' to be sent to the guest along with the quote
- Internal Note - Add 'Internal Notes' for staff to view about the quote
- Email Quote - Click 'Email Quote' to send a quote to the guest
- Create Lead - Click 'Create Lead' to only create a lead in Homhero. Choose this option if you DON'T want to send a quote to the guest
