How to create a Refundable Sundry - Security Deposit/Bonds

This type of sundry is only used in a reservation for Security Deposits/Bonds. The Bond must be setup as GST free. A bond must also go to the Extras tab in a booking. Funds for a booking will not be paid out to the owner if the booking is unbalanced. If the bond is held in Extras it will not affect the payout to the owner.

Before you start creating the Sundry, make sure you already have a GL Acc Code that applies to this sundry. If not, you will need to create a GL Acc Code as per the instructions here. 

1. Type Sundry in the Menu and select Select Setup + Accounting + Sundry
2. Select +
3. Type in the Description = Sundry name i.e. Security Deposit or Refundable Bond 
4. Start to type in the GL Code and hit enter and it will come up with a selection of GL codes. Please note you must select from the options as this creates the link
5. Select 'GST Free' for GST Type
6. Ensure the Refundable box is selected
7. Select Properties and the plus symbol
   
   
   
   
8. Select the Property (Agency Name)
9. Select the second arrow on the left > and move the Property to the right hand column
10. Select the Tick and then Save and Exit
    
    

Homhero

1. Select Settings from the Homhero side menu
2. Select General Settings > Sundries. Alternatively, type Sundries into the Settings Search field to locate the Sundries menu
3. Select Sync from RMS (please wait until you get the alert saying the SYNC is completed. This will appear on the right hand side of your screen in the notification bar
4. As soon as the Sync is completed, click the Refresh icon
5. Use the Search tool to find the Sundry. Please note this can take up to 10 mins to be available in Homhero.
6. Click in the Account Type column to change the Account Type to Extras
7. Click the Category column and select Security Deposit
   Note: If you are creating a new Security Deposit and you have an existing one, please ensure both bonds have the Security Deposit Category mapped

8. Tick the box under Exclude OTA Balance
9. Click Save
