HVMB Listing Settings

This article will explain how to setup the listing settings for each HVMB listing before you publish the listing to HVMB. Any of the same settings that are available in your DEFAULT HVMB Settings can be overridden here on a listing level.

These settings can be accessed as per the following steps:

• Click Booking Engine > Listings from the Homhero side menu
• Select a listing by clicking the 'grey' HVMB Icon visible under the Web/OTA column

Details

1. HVMB Account - Select the HVMB Account that you wish to use for this listing
   
   
2. HVMB Listing ID - Only fill this in if you are connecting to an existing listing
   
   
3. Listing Name - The name of your listing will automatically feed from your main listing settings if you have used the 'Copy Fields to OTA' tool, however you can also override the listing name here manually. This will be the Property Name that will display in HVMB searches
   
   
   
4. Description - The description will also feed from your main listing settings. You can override here if needed
   
   
5. Summary - Add a short summary about the property
   
   
6. Property Type - Select the most suitable Property Type for this listing
   
   
7. Property Size - Enter the size of the property
   
   
8. Property Size Unit - Select whether the size from the previous step is measured in square feet or square meters
   
   
9. Property Notes - Add any other notes about the property
   
   
10. Amenities - Add any amenities that apply to this listing
    *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
    
    Note: You can have values set on both the global and listing level, which means the individual OTA listing amenities will not override the Default HVMB Setting amenities. We will merge them together to form a complete list before we send this information to HVMB
    
    
11. House Rules - Please specify the house rules for staying at the property
    *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
    
    
12. Neighbourhood View - Add any information about the neighbourhood
    
    
13. Parking Allowed - Is there parking available at the property? Yes or No
    *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
    
    
14. Smoking Allowed - Is smoking permitted within the property? Yes or No
    *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
    
    
15. Parties Allowed - Are parties allowed at the property? Yes or No
    *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
    
    
    
    

Booking Settings

1. Cancellation Policy - Select a cancellation policy for this listing
   *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
   
   
2. Security Deposit by HVMB - If there is a security deposit for this property, select whether you will charge the security deposit, or whether HVMB should charge this on your behalf
   *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing

Availability

1. Minimum Advanced Booking Offset - The minimum amount of time in advance the room must be booked
   *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
   
   
2. Maximum Advanced Booking Offset - The maximum amount of time in advance the room can be booked. Default is 2 years
   *Updating this setting will override your DEFAULT HVMB Settings for this listing
   
   

Pricing

1. Rate to Use - Select the rate that you wish to use for sending to Booking.com for this listing
   
   
2. Rate Lift % - This is where you will need to setup a Rate Lift to cover any commission charged from Booking.com

Additional Settings

1. Cancel - Allows you to cancel any recent changes you have made in the current HVMB Settings
2. Unlist - If a property is already listed on HVMB, this will unlist the property, making it unavailable online
3. Relist - If a property is unlisted, this button will appear. Click Relist to list the property on HVMB
4. View on HVMB - This will allow you to view the HVMB listing as it appears on HVMB
5. Fetch reviews - Clicking this will fetch all reviews for this listing. You will be notified when the process is complete.
6. View log - This will let you access the API Logs for this listing
7. Save - The drop-down menu has two options, Save or Save & Publish:
   • Save: Once your listing is live, you can save all changes made to your settings, without updating HVMB
   • Save & Publish: This will create a new listing on HVMB, if you have left the HVMB Listing ID blank. Once your listing is live, clicking this will save all changes made to your settings, and push them directly to HVMB.
