How do I setup a new account with Booking.com?
 

If you're interested in connecting to Booking.com, please email support@homhero.com.au. Homhero will coordinate directly with Booking.com to set up a group account, after which a Booking.com Account Manager will get in touch to guide you through the onboarding process. Alternatively, you can contact Booking.com directly to create a new account.

If you already have an existing Booking.com account and you are ready to connect this to Homhero, please follow the below steps:

How to connect to Booking.com

  1. Navigate to Channel Management in HOMHERO
  2. From the Connections tab, click the spanner Icon on the Booking.com Channel
  3. Click "Add Account" and fill out the Name of Account and Rate Lift, leave the Legal ID blank for now. When creating a new account, please refer to our Booking.com Contracting API help article. 
  4. Click ''Save'' to add the new account (You can add more than one Booking.com Account)
  5. Complete your global settings
  6. Create Booking Source and Commission Sundry
  7. Setup Correspondence Schedules
  8. Map listing features
  9. Connect each listing
  10. Add Legal ID to your Booking.com Account in Homhero
  11. Publish listings to Booking.com
  12. You are now live!

Add Booking.com Connection
Homhero > Channel Management > Connections > Booking.com > Add Account

  1. Name of Account - Add a name for this account e.g. Demo Company
  2. Legal ID - This will be provided to you from Booking.com Account Manager. 
    *Please leave this blank until you have completed all setup requirements
  3. Rate Lift % - This will be provided to you from Booking.com Account Manager. This is your Commission amount including uplift e.g. 12% + Uplift = 13.64%

Channel Management > Connections > Booking.com > Spanner Icon > Edit Options

How to setup your DEFAULT Booking.com Settings

  • Details - Set Global Services, Amenities, Quiet Hours and Booking Expectations
  • Booking Settings - Set Global Cancellation Policy
  • Pricing - Set Pricing Settings and Rate Lift to fully cover the Booking.com Commission
  • Availability - Set Minimum and Maximum Booking Offset

How to setup Booking Sources
How to setup your Booking.com Commission

  • Add Booking.com as a new Booking source in RMS then sync this to Homhero
  • Create a Commission Sundry in RMS then sync this to Homhero
  • No Commission % is required for this connection
  • Select the 'Default Source For' as Booking.com

Correspondence Schedules
Correspondence > Schedules

  • Setup new or update existing Communication Schedules

Map Listing Features
Booking Engine > Listings > MANAGE > Features

  • Map any Homhero features to the associated Booking.com Feature

Connect each Listing
Booking Engine > Listings > Booking.com OTA Icon

Booking.com Listing Settings

  • Enter Connection ID ''Hotel ID'' if you would to connect to an existing Booking.com Listing

  • To create a new listing leave the Connection ID's blank
  • Fill out Booking.com Settings then click Save
  • The Booking.com Icon for each listing should change to the pending (yellow) status

Add Legal ID
Channel Management > Connections > Booking.com > Spanner Icon > Edit (Admin Only)

  1. Click the red edit pencil (Admin Only)

  2. Add the Legal ID
  3. Check the Rate Lift % is setup
  4. Click Save

Publish Listings to Booking.com
Booking Engine > Listings > Booking.com OTA Icon 

  • Open each Booking.com listing and click Save and Publish
  • This will create a brand new listing on Booking.com 
  • The Booking.com Icon will change to Green to represent the Active status
  • If any Booking.com listings have errors, the Icon will change to Red
