How to add a public holiday surcharge package

You now have the ability to add a public holiday surcharge that can apply to Sundry Categories if they are assigned in your Homhero Sundry Settings.

You will need to complete the following steps:

• Assign a Category to the Sundry
• Create a Public Holiday Season
• Add a Public Holiday Package
• Complete a Rate Query to confirm the setup is correct

Assign a Category to the Sundry

1. Click Settings from the Homhero side menu
2. Click General Settings > Sundries
3. Locate the Sundry in the list and assign the Category the Sundry applies to
4. Click Save
   
   

Create a Public Holiday Season

1. Click Booking Engine > Listings from the Homhero side menu
2. Click Add

3. Enter the Season Name
4. Add Public Holiday dates
5. Click Save
   
   
   

Add a Public Holiday Package

1. Click Booking Engine > Packages from the Homhero side menu
2. Click Add

   We have listed the main settings that you will need to configure to create a public holiday package:
   
   
3. Active toggle - Ensure the active toggle is on
4. Package Name - Enter a package name
   
5. Guest Mandatory toggle - Turn this toggle on if you would like to apply this charge automatically to guest bookings
6. Apply to all Listings toggle - Turn this toggle on to apply this package to all listings
7. Apply to Listings (Set) - If the 'Apply to all Listings' toggle is left off, click 'Set' to select which individual listings will apply to this package. 
8. Days of the Week - Click the days of the week that this package is applicable for
9. Validate On - This setting will determine which bookings dates are used to validate this package:
   Arrival - This package will only apply on the arrival date of a booking
   Stay - This package will apply to all stay dates of a booking
   Departure - This package will only apply on the departure date of a booking
10. Package Type - Click the drop-down arrow to select from the available package types:
    - Per Booking
    - Per Guest per Booking
    - Per Night
    - Per Additional Guest Per Booking
    - Per Additional Guest Per Night
    - Per Additional Guest Per Night By Beds
11. Amount - Enter the amount of the package
12. Amount Type - Click the drop-down arrow to select the % Percent Amount Type
13. Calculate On - Click the drop-down arrow to select from the percentage types to calculate this package on:
    Cleaning Sundry Total - This will calculate the package based on the total of other packages where the attached sundry has the category of 'Cleaning'
    Linen Sundry Total - This will calculate the package based on the total of other packages where the attached sundry has the category of 'Linen'
    General Sundry Total - This will calculate the package based on the total of other packages where the attached sundry has the category of 'General'
    
    
14. RMS Sundry Link - Click the drop-down arrow to select the 'RMS Sundry Link' that applies to this package.
15. Click Save
    
    
    
    

Complete a Rate Query

1. Click Rate Query from any page in Homhero

2. Select the Listing
3. Select the Check In date
4. Select the Check Out date
5. Click the Packages tab
6. Check the cleaning fee has calculated correctly based on your public holiday package settings
